Los Angeles Times Epigenetics Story
Former world-class endurance athlete and independent health researcher Mark Sisson was forced to retire from competition at an early age due to IBS, chronic upper respiratory infections, tendonitis, and osteoarthritis. He vowed to use his pre-medical background and biology degree not only to turn his own health around, but to also help others avoid making the same mistakes he had made. Today at 56 he is healthier and fitter than when he raced marathons and triathlons.
Mark has written several books prior to The Primal Blueprint and The Primal Blueprint Cookbook including Maximum Results and The Lean Lifestyle Program, which sold over 400,000 copies. He served for 15 years as the anti-doping and drug-testing chairman of the International Triathlon Union and as its liaison to the International Olympic Committee.
In 2006, Mark founded www.MarksDailyApple.com with the goal of fostering compelling, critical and entertaining health discussions. The Primal Blueprint is a detailed and comprehensive explanation of the lifestyle put forth on this blog and the lifestyle replicating the diet and exercise of primal hunter-gatherer man 10,000 years ago. MarkDailyApple is now a top-ranked health and fitness site with over three million page views per month.
